About the conversation archive

Vivid's administrators operate this private archive for community moderation and conversation history. It records messages in configured server channels the bot can access, including accessible threads, authors' Discord IDs and names, timestamps, message edits and deletions, and attachment metadata.

When image saving is enabled, BigBrother stores still image previews. It removes embedded metadata, limits resolution and file size, and does not record DMs, voice audio, video calls or your computer.

Guild Masters and Admin role members can search the archive. The server operator also maintains its storage. Messages and images are encrypted in the database. Staff sign in through Discord; the archive never asks for your Discord password. Sign-in grants are used once and discarded; browser sessions use essential cookies only. Staff access is checked again against current Discord roles at least every 10 seconds while browsing.

Records expire 30 days after they were first captured here; an imported older message has that same period from import. A Discord deletion is recorded, so deleting in Discord does not immediately remove a previously captured archive copy. Separate staff exports and backups require separate cleanup.

Archive removal requests are handled by the server administrators; there is no member self-deletion command. For access, correction, removal requests, or help with backups and copies, contact aliceisntdead in Vivid. Administrators should also remove related exports and backup copies.

Only reachable history can be imported. Previously deleted messages, missed edits, inaccessible threads and expired image links may be absent. The archive is not a complete record of everything ever said.
